Patient Information

Please see below our patient information for all our consultants clinical patients

Insured Patients

Please ensure you contact your insurance company to obtain authorisation prior to any consultation, surgery or treatment. Failure to do so may result in your insurers refusing to settle your fees for which you will become responsible.

If your insurance company requires a completed Claim Form, please bring this to your consultation with you.

On arrival at the hospital of your choice the reception staff may ask you for a swipe of your credit/debit card – this is standard procedure for all patients and will be required prior to seeing your consultant regardless of whether you are insured or not.

As regards arrangements for surgical procedures/treatments, you will be provided with the relevant information and codes to pass on to your insurer either by the consultant at the time of consultation or via their secretary.

Some of our consultants do not charge within insurance company guidelines so there may be a shortfall – for further information please contact us on 01223 479024 or at email us.

Self-Pay Patients

If you would like to know the charges for consultations, please contact us on 01223 479024 or at email us

On arrival at the hospital of your choice the reception staff may ask you for a swipe of your credit/debit card – this is standard procedure for all patients and will be required prior to seeing your consultant. However, this is for hospital purposes only and we will not be furnished with a copy of your card details. Your consultant will invoice you separately for your consultation along with information on how to pay.

Inclusive Care Packages for any surgery or treatment will be requested by our team and confirmed with you direct from the hospital. If you are happy to proceed upon receipt of the guideline price sent out by the hospital, you should contact your consultant’s secretary to make further arrangements. You should always ensure you are aware of, and happy with, any surgical/treatment costs before proceeding.

Additional Information

Consultations:
It would be helpful to arrive at the hospital 15 minutes prior to your consultation time to allow the reception staff to check you in and obtain any updated details from you. If you have insurance, you will be asked to provide your authorisation number at this stage so please ensure you bring this with you. As regards cancellation fees, we would appreciate where possible 48 hours’ notice of cancellation and failure to do so may result in a fee being made. However, we are aware this is not always possible and therefore would be grateful to be informed of your reasons for non-attendance after the event if possible. Again, failure to do so may result in a fee being made.

Sick Certificates:
These will be provided on discharge, however, once this has expired, should you require a further certificate, this will need to be provided by your GP.

Data Protection:
This is very important to us and to protect your confidentiality rights we will not speak to a third party unless authorised to do so. We may also request your email address to expedite the provision of correspondence to you but please note we will not do so unless we have your authorisation to do this, and all files sent electronically will be encrypted.
