Dr Leonard Shapiro undetakes out-paitent clinic at the Cambridge Spire Lea Hospital.

The clinics are run to allow for rapid access review of patients with chest pain and other cardiac conditions.

 They are run on a one stop basis with facilities for echocardiography (which I perform personally). Treadmill testing, 24 hour ECG and event recording is always available.

My specialist interests are interventional cardiology in coronary disease (PCI-angioplasty) and valve disease with a special expertise in structural heart disease including ASD/PFO closure and valve dilatation and replacement. I also have special expertise in cardiac adaptation to sport and exercise. I see pilots for re-certification (I am a CAA registered Cardiologist).
